Meet Sophie Davies

Hi! I'm so glad you stopped by, I'm Sophie and I write cosy romance books that I hope will bring you the same joy I feel when writing them.

I've been posting about my writing journey on my TikTok page for the last three years, and I'm so excited to say that my debut book, Head Over Skis, will be published in September 2026!

IT’S HERE!! ❄️
I am so excited to share with you all the cover for my debut romance book, HEAD OVER SKIS, which is publishing in September 2026.
The cover was designed by the incredible illustrator Carrie May, who has also designed covers for the likes of Cathy Bramley and Veronica Henry.
It captures all the wintery coziness this book is full of, and I hope you love it as much as I do.

Now that my book is announced and up for pre-order on a ton of websites (aah!!), I thought I’d share this guide to how best you can support the book, lots of which are free!
Of course, pre-ordering the book is amazing, but if you aren’t able to do that, things like adding the book on Goodreads, requesting it from your local library, and engaging on my socials are also all huge helps and can be done quickly and for free.
For little debut authors like me, any and all support can make a big difference in setting a book up for success, so if you are able to do any of these, it’s greatly appreciated ❤️.

Hi everyone!
I’ve been a little quiet over here recently, and that’s because in December, I moved house!! It’s been so so wonderful, and a bit of a whirlwind with unpacking, then hosting my family for Christmas, then our friends for new years, so now I’m finally returning to normal schedules.
BUT, despite all the craziness, I have managed to keep up writing my fourth book, and today I hit the 30k milestone 🥳!
I am so excited to hit the halfway point soon and see how the second half of the book takes shape. There’s a lot that’s still unknown in my head, but that’s one of the joys of writing, so we’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks, and I’ll keep you all posted ❤️.
I hope you all had a merry Christmas and 2026 is treating you well, speak soon.

Sophie Davies is a romance author based in West Sussex, who studied English literature at the University of Exeter, and has been working in the publishing industry ever since.

She starting posting about her writing journey on TikTok in 2023, which has led to her meeting so many other amazing writers, some of whom have become her closest friends.

Her favourite thing to do is visit local coffee shops with other writers and pen love stories she hopes will make you feel warm and cosy.

At home, she lives with her boyfriend and their two cats, Zaggy and Meggy, and spends any time not writing cuddled up on the sofa with a cup of tea reading a book, playing board games with friends and family, or attempting to catalogue her never-ending book collection.
